Alkaml provides a business management system for point of sale, invoicing, and company management at alkaml.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Alkaml, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Alkaml you agree to this policy.
Account information: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and password. Passwords are stored in a securely hashed form, and we can never read them.
Business data you enter: the companies you create and the records inside them, such as items, customers, employees, invoices, documents, and files. This data belongs to you, and we store it only to provide the service.
Technical information: log data such as your IP address, browser type, and the requests you make. We use it to keep the service secure, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.
We use your information to operate the service, sign you in securely, send account emails such as verification and password reset messages, respond to your messages, protect the service against abuse, and improve how Alkaml works. We do not use your business data for advertising.
Alkaml uses a single sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. It is protected so that scripts cannot read it, and it is removed when you sign out. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Alkaml for Android opens alkaml.com inside the application, so everything in this policy applies to it, and the application itself collects nothing more. It keeps your sign-in cookie on the device so you stay signed in, and the cookie is removed when you sign out or uninstall the application.
Nearby devices (Bluetooth): the application asks for this permission the first time you list printers, and uses it only to find the Bluetooth printers paired with the device and to send receipts to them. It never uses Bluetooth to find your location, and no information about your Bluetooth devices leaves the device.
USB printers: the application asks for access to a USB printer the first time you print to it, and uses that access only to send the receipt to that printer.
Local network: to find network printers, the application looks for printer ports on the addresses of the network the device is connected to. It reads nothing else from the network, and no information about your network is sent to our servers.
Files and photos: when you choose to upload an image or a document, the application opens the device's file chooser and uploads only the file you choose. It never reads your files on its own.
Updates: the application asks alkaml.com whether a newer version exists and shows an update button when one does. Only the version number is sent. The application collects no advertising identifier, no device identifier, and no location.
You can delete your account from your account page, in the application or on the website, as described in this policy.
Alkaml for Windows opens alkaml.com inside the application, so everything in this policy applies to it, and the application itself collects nothing more. It keeps your sign-in cookie on the computer so you stay signed in, and the cookie is removed when you sign out or uninstall the application.
Printers: the application lists the printers installed on Windows so you can choose them on the website, and prints receipts on the printer you chose without opening a dialog. The name of a chosen printer is stored on the printer record inside your company, and nothing else about your printers is stored or sent.
Updates: the application asks alkaml.com whether a newer version exists when it starts and every few hours, downloads it in the background, and installs it when you choose or when you close the application. Only the version number is sent. The application collects no device identifier and no location.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that run our infrastructure, such as hosting and email delivery, and only to the extent needed to provide the service, or when the law requires us to.
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, you are signed out everywhere and your profile is removed. Business records such as invoices may be kept where keeping them is required for legal or accounting purposes, and companies you own stay in the system so their records remain intact.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your account page, on the website and in both applications. Deleting it removes your profile photo from our servers, releases your email address so the account can never be signed in to again, ends every sign-in session on every device, and ends your access to every company you work in as an employee.
The business records inside the companies you own stay in the system, together with a closed record of the account holding its name, phone number, and the email address it used, because invoices and the records tied to them must be kept for tax and accounting purposes, which in Saudi Arabia means six years. If you cannot sign in, or you want a company and everything inside it removed as well, contact us and we will answer within 30 days.

How to delete your accountWe protect your information with measures such as hashed passwords, secure sign-in tokens, encrypted connections, and private storage for uploaded documents. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data with the best practical measures.
You can view and update your information at any time from your account page, and you can delete your account from there as well. For any other request about your information, contact us and we will help.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Alkaml after a change means you accept the updated policy.
