You can delete your Alkaml account yourself, at any time, from your account page. This page explains how to do it, what we delete, what we keep, and how to ask us for help when you cannot sign in.
How to delete your account
1Sign in to your Alkaml account, in the browser at alkaml.com or in the Alkaml application.
2Open the menu that carries your name at the top of the page, then choose Account.
3Go to the end of the account page, to the red danger zone.
4Press Delete account.
5Read the confirmation and press Delete. Your account is closed right away, and you are signed out on every device.
If you are not signed in, you will be asked to sign in first.
What we delete
Your profile photo is deleted from our servers.
Your email address is released from the account, so nobody can sign in to it again, and the address becomes free for a new account.
Every sign-in session on every device ends immediately.
Your access to every company you work in as an employee ends.
What we keep, and for how long
The business records inside the companies you own, such as invoices, items, customers, employees, and documents, stay in the system. Invoices and the records tied to them must be kept for tax and accounting purposes, which in Saudi Arabia means six years.
A closed record of the account, holding the name, the phone number, and the email address it used, is kept for the same period, so the invoices issued from it stay complete and correct.
Nothing we keep is used to contact you, and none of it is ever sold or used for advertising.
If you cannot sign in
If you lost access to your email address, or you want a company and everything inside it removed as well, write to us from the contact page and tell us the email address of the account. We answer within 30 days, and we may ask you for something that proves the account is yours before we remove anything.
Deleting your account from the website, from the Android application, or from the Windows application does the same thing, because all of them are one account. Removing the application from your device does not delete your account: it only removes the application.
